Pre-requisites
Ideally applicants are 18 years of age or over. The workshop requires some emotional maturity to deal with content, as well as some experience in leadership roles in order to apply a context for dealing with child welfare issues.

- The work of The FA in changing attitudes, promoting best practice and protecting young people
Best Practice
- What is meant by best practice and where you may wish to make changes in what you do?
- Signs, symptoms, forms of abuse and poor practice
- How to recognise the signs, symptoms and forms of abuse
- Behaviour in football that gives cause for concern
- Attitudes and feelings in relation to concerns about poor practice and abuse
The FA Safeguarding Children in Football Workshop is mandatory for all those involved with Charter Standard, or taking coaching, refeering, and medical qualifications, and upon successful completion you will receive a certificate which is valid for three years.
