The Awards build on the continued commitment of McDonald’s to improving standards of community football and increasing participation across all aspects of grassroots football through FA Charter Standard Clubs and Leagues.
In 2011 we saw a significant rise in the amount of Clubs and dedicated Volunteers being nominated across the County.
This increase in response made the decisions of the judging panel even more difficult, with each panel member feeling immensely proud to read about the fantastic work being carried out by those who were tabled for this year’s awards and the overall commitment to grassroots football in Cumberland.
The County winners for 2011 were as follows:
Outstanding Contribution to Community Football
Irwin Wallace (Castletown JFC)
The FA Charter Standard Community Club of the Year
Northbank FC
The FA Charter Standard Development Club of the Year
Keswick FC
The FA Charter Standard Club of the Year
Maryport Monsters FC
Volunteer of the Year
Phil Robinson (Northbank FC)

Each County Award winner was invited to attend the Annual County FA Dinner & Presentation to formally receive their award.
