Football Futures

The FA’s Step into Sport scheme has been re-branded and is now known as ‘Football Futures’.

The scheme allows volunteers working within Clubs and Schools (under 22) with the opportunity to access support from the County FA while logging volunteer hours.

The importance of volunteers in grassroots football cannot be underestimated, and Cumberland FA are committed to supporting the Volunteers of the Future.

Six leadership and volunteering Football Futures themes are now being used to allow more young volunteers to be involved:

  • Coaching & Working with Teams
  • Refereeing
  • Running Events
  • Running & Developing the Game
  • Promoting the Game
  • Respect

Cumberland FA’s programme links into The FA National programme, which provided two young leaders from the County the opportunity to attend The FA National Camp. Details of previous year’s camps can be seen by clicking on the related links.
