Changes to the Coaches Association Launch Session

1:38 PM, Wednesday, 20 February 08.

We are delighted to confirm details of the launch session of our Coaches Association for 2008.

Topic:      An Introduction to The FA Tesco Skills Programme

Venue:    Penrith Leisure Centre,
               Southend Road, Penrith, CA11 8JH*

Date:      Tuesday 18 March 2008

Time:      6.30pm - 9.00pm*

Coach:    Andy Foster – FA Regional Coach Development Manager
              (5-11 Years); (UEFA 'A')

***Please note that due to the poor weather and light we have experienced recently, the venue and end time for this session have now changed***

Last year saw The FA and Tesco launch a programme, which aims to meet the challenge of raising the technical bar in English football at the key 5-11 year old developmental stage, thus closing the skills gap between English youngsters and our European counterparts.

During the session, Andy Foster will introduce the programme, its philosophy and the challenges of working within this age group.

He will also deliver a practical session, which will demonstrate some of the games, drills and skill challenges which have been designed by the FA’s specialist Skills Coaches for use by grassroots coaches and young players.

This is a great opportunity for coaches working with this age group to gain new ideas and practices.

Coaches may well be asked to participate within the practical session, so please bring appropriate clothing and either trainers or astro- boots.

If you have already stated your intention to attend the session then there is no need to contact us again.

However if you have not contacted us yet, but would now like to attend, then please contact us on:
