Following the success of the Cumbria Women’s League, and the increase in female players at age 16+, there are now more women enjoying playing football than ever before.
Please see below the details of the exciting new opportunity:
What: Womens’s 6-a-side League
When: Starts 7.00pm - 8.00pm
Friday 11 September 2009 for 11 weeks
Where: The ‘New’ all weather Astro Turf
at Sheepmount, Carlisle
Who: Any females 16+ who would like to enter –
existing teams or a group of individuals
Cost: £20 deposit + £18 per week / Season Ticket £200
Dependant on the number of entries, the length of the League may be reduced – however it is hoped that this League will run into December 2009.
A minimum squad of 6 and maximum of 14 (the more players you have the cheaper it will be!)

Women’s Festival - Sunday 6 September 2009 at 1.00pm
Women missed out on the recent Charter Standard Festival, but due to popular demand, Sunday 6 September 2009 will provide an opportunity for women to play in a festival atmosphere.
This festival will kick off both the 6-a-side league, and act as a warm up for the Cumbria Women’s League. This festival will be open to any teams who would like to enter. The festival will take place on the astro at Sheepmount and will start at 1.00pm.
