For the last 4 years, Cumberland FA in conjunction with the McDonalds Community Coaching Programme, has been able to offer existing Charter Standard Clubs and Clubs who are completing the process the opportunity to access a free place on a variety of different coaching courses.
Following on from the success of last years well attended course, we are delighted to inform you that we have secured funding via the McDonalds scheme to deliver another FA Youth Award – Module 1; Developing the Environment here in Cumberland.
This course is the first part of the FA’s new range of Youth Coaching courses. Module 1 looks at creating the right environment in which young players can develop. The course will also introduce coaches to new games and drills which are specifically designed to fit the child.
Candidates for this course must have a minimum Level 1 Coaching Certificate.
While Open to anybody who meets this criteria, priority places will be given to candidates who are identified as fulfilling the ‘Club Coach Coordinator role’ (Development & Community Clubs only). It is hoped that these coaches will take back and circulate to the clubs coaches what they have learned. In the future it is hoped that the identified coaches will not only help to support and develop new or existing coaches within the club, but will also complete the 2nd and 3rd modules of the Youth Award.
We have 24 free places to give away on the course.
The course will be held at Netherhall School, Maryport as follows:
Dates Times
Sat 8 May 2010 & Sun 9 May 2010 9.00am - 5.00pm
