Affiliation to Cumberland FA includes:
• Allows entry into Affiliated Leagues
• Provision of suitable Public Liability Insurance cover for your Club, team and players
• Eligibility to participate in County FA competitions
• Eligibility to participate in National FA competitions
• Opportunities to apply for grant aid and funding from The FA
• Access to information and advice from the County FA personnel, FA Regional National Game Manager and FA Regional Facility Managers
• Access to FA and County FA publications and resources
• Opportunities to participate in FA football development schemes such as Charter Standard Awards
• The opportunity to make your Club’s view known on the future development of the game to both County FA’s and The FA.
All Clubs must affiliate to their parent County Football Association, and also affiliate to the appropriate League that they wish to join for the upcoming season.
Please note that it is mandatory for all teams in Cumberland to have Personal Accident Insurance in place prior to playing any fixtures (this includes friendlies) - click HERE to find out more.
How to affiliate for Season 2016 / 2017
We are now inviting our Clubs to affiliate electronically for next season through the Whole Game System (WGS) by following this link: https://wholegame.thefa.com
Passwords can be re-set using the following link (even if you have not used our online services previously): http://www.thefa.com/account/RequestPasswordReset
The deadline for completing your club affiliation is 31st July 2016. Payment of your affiliation fees must then be made by no later than 1 week prior to your season commencing.
Once you have logged into your Club Dashboard, click onto the 'Club Secretary’ tab, then click on ‘Affiliation 2016-2017’ on the left hand side of the screen to complete the affiliation process.
Please be aware that can complete the affiliation process gradually so do not worry if you do not have time to complete the process in one sitting. You will find that your club information has been carried over from the previous season. Please take time to check that this is all correct, and amend any information where necessary.
The Portal will recognise which County Cup Competition your team is eligible to enter - entry into the Senior Competitions is mandatory for all senior teams, and entry into the Junior Competitions is optional.
Once you have completed your affiliation and clicked 'Submit for Approval' on Step 7, we will then review your application. Once your application has been approved by the County FA, an invoice for your affiliation fees will be generated, and you will be notified accordingly.
Payment can either then be made via the WGS Portal via a secure payment page (Barclaycard Smartpay), alternatively you can make a payment via BACS or cheque if you prefer. Please note that we are now also able to take payment over the telephone at the County Office via credit or debit card.
Please note that your affiliation number for Season 2016-2017 will be generated upon successful receipt of payment for the appropriate affiliation fees.
If you are a new Club, then please contact us as soon as possible providing your proposed club name, secretary details (name, address, date of birth, e-mail address, telephone number) and then we can provide you with access to the Whole Game System.

Step 1: Club Details - Check and confirm club details
You will find that your club information has been carried over from the previous season. Please check this is all correct and amend any information where necessary

Please check the listed club officials are correct and assign new season's officials where necessary
Step 3: Club Grounds - Ground allocation
Please check / amend existing club grounds, and you can also select new playing or training grounds.
Step 4: Teams and County Cup Entries - Adding and removing teams, team officials, and Cup entries
You can add and remove teams / team officials, and you should also record details of Leagues and County Cup Competitions that each team will compete in for the new season. If you are unsure about this process, please contact us for guidance
Step 5: Supporting Documentation - Supporting documentation upload or declaration
This section requires you to upload your Personal Accident Insurance certificate - these can be submitted at a later date
Step 6: Purchases - Products available for the club to purchase
This section confirms the Public Liability Insurance cover that is taken out on your behalf by the County FA
Step 7: Affiliation Summary Page - Summary of affiliation fees
This section confirms the affiliation fees per team and the competitions that you have entered. Once you are happy with this information, click on Submit for Approval

Your affiliation application has now been submitted to the County FA to review and you will be notified once the invoice for your affiliation fees has been generated

We have use of an IT Suite for 2 hours at each venue hosting 20 computers, and we are inviting Club Secretaries to come along at a time to suit you and complete your affiliation application via the Whole Game System with CFA staff members on hand to assist with any queries that you may have.
