Cumberland FA's annual Charter Standard Festival reached a milestone in 2015, and enjoyed a 10 Year Anniversary event!
220 teams enjoyed a weekend full of football at Cumberland FA’s 10th Anniversary Charter Standard Festival in May/June 2015!
For 10 years, boys and girls from approximately 40 FA Charter Standard Clubs around the County meet at Frenchfields, Penrith for the largest free football festival in the North of England. The10th year event was the most popular with the highest number of teams attending in the Festival history, a fitting tribute to the 10th Anniversary.
The ethos of the event, playing in a fun and relaxed environment has seen more than 10,000 players enjoying their football at Frenchfields since 2006. Visit our Facebook page to see photos from previous years.
Coaches, managers, volunteers and parents who support players throughout the season enjoy the Festival event as it’s a chance to relax and watch some free flowing football in an enjoyable environment; with no scores recorded players can focus on enjoying their football and playing against teams from different leagues.
Each year Cumberland FA’s Festival supports a local Charity. In 2015 the event supported Jigsaw, Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice. Thanks to the Clubs, teams and spectators, Cumberland FA raised £3,222.00!
