Cup Competitions

Cumberland FA run eleven County Cup Competitions for affiliated Clubs across the County (including the Veterans Trophy).

Clubs should follow the process below for each County Cup Fixture:

All postponed games must be played the following week if possible at the Home Club’s venue and if this is not playable, and they are unable to find an alternative venue, the game should be transferred to the Away Club’s ground.

Within 2 hours of completion of the game, the home Club Secretary or a designated contact is responsible for notifying the result to the County Office.  This should be done by the automated SMS service.

Where a text has not been received, or you have been instructed otherwise, clubs should ensure the result is confirmed by sending an e-mail to

Failure to comply will result in the offending club being fined £10.  Clubs should also communicate the result of the game to their relevant League Secretary.

BOTH teams are responsible for sending fully completed team sheets following the game to the via post to County Office or via e-mail to (must be a legible copy).
