Equality

    •
Cumberland FA is responsible for setting the standards and values to apply throughout football. Football is for everyone; it belongs to, and should be enjoyed by, anyone who wants to participate in it.

Cumberland FA’s commitment is to promote inclusion and to confront and eliminate discrimination whether by reason of age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status or civil partnership, race, nationality, ethnic origin, religion or belief, ability or disability, pregnancy and maternity and to encourage equal opportunities.

Football for All
"Football for all" is about making sure everyone has a chance to be involved in football, regardless of age, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital status, race, nationality, ethnic origin, colour, religion or belief, ability or disability.
It is also about:
• Encouraging the involvement of groups in football by recognising that inequalities exist and taking action to address them
• Making opportunities available where currently few exist
• Using the power of football to build a better future, in order to achieve these objectives.

Reporting Discrimination
Cumberland FA will not tolerate harassment, bullying, abuse or victimization of a participant, which for the purposes of this policy and the actions and sanction applicable is regarded as discrimination, whether physical or verbal. Cumberland FA will work to ensure that such behavior is met with appropriate action in whatever context it occurs.

Cumberland FA commits itself to the immediate investigation of any allegation, when it is brought to their attention, of discrimination and where such is found to be the case, Cumberland FA will require that the practice stop and impose sanctions as appropriate.
