Cumberland FA held the first introduction to Module 3 yesterday evening with coaches from across the County in attendance.
The event was delivered by Ian Bateman (FA Regional Coach Development Manager, North West) with facilities and players kindly provided by Keswick FC.
The aim of this event was to give coaches who are currently working through Modules 1 and 2 of the Youth Award an introduction into what was involved in Module 3. Practical demonstrations allowed the coaches to observe and digest the session with a dedicated focus on; the interventions used during the session, set up and organisation, varied coaching styles, and the technical detail required when working through module 3.
The event ties nicely into the previous courses already ran earlier in the year with 21 candidates successfully completing module 1 and 12 enthusiastic candidates ready to take part in module 2 starting this evening at Keswick FC.
The FA Youth Award Module 3 makes up the third part of a small cluster of courses which heavily focus on a player centred approach. These courses are highly recommended for anyone working within youth football.
