New PAN Disability Opportunities in Workington

We’re delighted to announce that players with PAN disabilities will now have one of two football opportunities available to them in Workington,...
The new adult PAN disability football sessions will be taking place at Lakes College, whist the children’s sessions will be hosted at Moorclose Sports Centre.

Adults
The adults PAN disability session is to be run by a Level 1 and Coaching Disabled Footballers qualified coach, who has a wealth of experience in disability sport.

Sessions will be held every Wednesday, except the second Wednesday of the month, running from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. The sessions will cost £2 and take place at Lakes College, Lillyhall Business Park, Hallwood Road, Workington (CA14 4JN).

Juniors

Off the back of a successful launch of Thompson’s PAN Disability Football Club, Cumberland FA has worked closely with Workington Reds in the Community to deliver this brand-new session. Football Fun was a successful pilot event hosted in July, which created an environment for children to enjoy fun and friendly football coaching, specifically designed for children with ambulant disabilities and additional needs. As a result, we’re delighted to start regular sessions.

Sessions will be run by Workington Reds in the Community coaches every Wednesday between 5.00pm and 6.00pm as of 13 September, taking place at Moorclose Sports Centre, Needham Drive, Workington (CA14 3SE). Sessions will cost £2, however the first session is free!
