Charter Standard Festival - Are You Ready?

Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June will see 250 teams descend on Frenchfield Sports Centre in Penrith, as Cumberland FA hosts the 2017 Charter Standard...
In what promises to be a fun-filled day of football action, Cumberland FA is looking forward to welcoming each of the estimated 3,000 players that will be involved over the two days.

Here’s all the information you need to know.

Cumberland FA pride ourselves on trying to offer you a fantastic end of season experience in an environment which players, coaches, parents and spectators alike can enjoy. We organise this festival as a thank you to yourselves for the tireless hours you commit to each season for the development of grassroots football.

If your team is no longer taking part in the festival please could you let us know at the earliest opportunity. We are currently operating a reserve list due to the number of teams wishing to attend with each age group currently at capacity.

As over 1000 vehicles are expected onto the site each day, we are expecting a very high volume of traffic, with some congestion expected so please see the below guidance for players and parents:

•    Please try to carpool where possible and coordinate travel between players and parents to limit the amount of cars coming onto the site

•    Please be mindful when travelling that the busiest times are between 9:15 am and 10:15am where traffic is at its peak

•    Please be patient and we will get cars into the site and parked as quickly and as safely as possible

•    Team registration opens from 8:45am with all teams being required to be registered before 9:55am

•    Programmes will be available to be purchased on the day, after you have parked your car

•    Programmes will be charged at £2 with proceeds going towards a local charity

•    You will be directed to one of the car parking zones by the Cumberland FA car parking team on the days – please note in the interests of safety there is a 5mph speed restriction on site

•    Any camera/recording device will need to be registered with the County FA staff in the marquee prior to photos/videos being taken

On both days, games will kick off at 10:30am promptly.

Please note registration is open from 8:45am and we strongly recommend teams get there early to get into the site and set up at your allocated pitch.

A managers briefing will take place on the morning around 10:10am where any fixture changes and changes to the day will be communicated.

Will all managers please inform their parents of the following Eden District Council policies:

•    No dogs allowed on the site (anyone with a dog on site will be asked to take the dog offsite away from the playing fields)
•    No BBQs
•    No alcohol to be consumed on site (anyone found consuming alcohol will be asked to leave the premises)

As with previous years we will be raising money for a local charity over the weekend.

Teams will play in a festival format against other teams from across the county and NO scores will be recorded on the day. Games are likely to finish between 1:30pm and 3:00pm depending on the number of teams in the group.

There will be a number of amenities on site including hot and cold refreshments, inflatable Respect pitch, FA Skills team and other information stalls and attractions.
