FA Skills Fun During Half-Term Break

Over the course of the recent half-term break, Cumberland’s FA Skills team ran two days of events at Abbeytown Junior Football Club, providing a day of activity in the first of mixed football fun and another specially run for girls.

Running between 10.00am and 3.00pm on both days, the Skills sessions provided a great opportunity for players of all abilities to get involved, as children aged between 5 and 11 were provided with a chance to enjoy the fun events.

The Girls Only event was held to support the fantastic work being carried out by Abbeytown JFC, which has provided great opportunities for girls to play football regularly. 32 girls attended the FA Skills session – a fantastic number.

The County FA, in partnership with The FA, is always looking to increase participation across the women and girls’ game – and will be hosting more events like this in future.

All at Cumberland FA and The FA Skills team would like to thank Abbeytown JFC for their hospitality and support in hosting the events.
