Cumberland FA Coaching

Inclusive FA Level 1 Course

First ever inclusive FA Level 1 Course in Cumberland now availble to book

Cumberland FA are delighted to announce that in 2020 we will be running an Inclusive FA Level 1 Course.

This course has been specifically designed to support aspiring coaches that have learning difficulties, forms of autism, and other special needs who may feel that mainstream courses are generally not accessible for them.

The course schedule although a little longer than usual is designed to deliver the content in shorter, more manageable workshops for learners.

The venue (University of Cumbria, Carlisle) has also been carefully selected to provide excellent access and indoor sports provision to ensure the correct environment is created for the course and learners.

James Reid (Football Development Officer) said We are delighted to have designed a course that we feel meets the needs of learners that would often not feel comfortable taking part in mainstream coaching courses. The universal language of football should mean that anyone wishing to complete an FA Level 1 course and take their first steps on the coaching ladder should be able to.

James continues…”We hope that by adding a course that is more manageable, has more support staff at each session, and is at a venue that has excellent access will help to remove barriers and encourage learners to take part in the course.”

If anyone is unsure as to whether they believe this course is suited to your needs or for an informal discussion about this course, please feel free to contact myself on 01900 511800.
