Players from Cumberland will once again get the opportunity to play in The FA People’s Cup with a county competition taking place at Soccerworld, Carlisle.

The FA People’s Cup is a small-sided competition. It is completely free to enter and welcomes male, female and disability players– ranging from 16+ through to veterans (over-35s). Applications for the 2019 FA People's Cup are now open!

With two rounds to progress through before the Finals are held at St. George’s Park in April, and a chance to be at Wembley for the Emirates FA Cup Final in May, could YOUR People’s Cup dreams come true this season?

After the Cumberland first round across the weekend of 23-24 February (the disability competition is on Tuesday 12 February), teams who progress will head into the semi-finals across the weekend of Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March 2019 at 12 regional venues.

And the titles will be dished out at St. George’s Park during the grand Finals on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April 2019.

Ray Sempill from Cumberland FA commented “We’re delighted that Soccerworld are once again hosting the Cumberland round, giving players from the county the opportunity to participate in the nationwide competition. We are hoping to increase the numbers of players getting involved this year with entries now open for individuals to get some friends together to form a team for the competition or enter as an established team. Cumberland FA would like to wish all teams the best of luck!”
