Helen Aitchison from Cumberland FA commented “The deal is in the early stages with talks ongoing to support the County Cup competitions. We’re very excited to welcome to the team a fantastic locally based company to deliver 11 Cup competitions ranging from Under 12s to Veterans in the male and female local game”
With the Junior draws and early rounds of the adult competitions regularly made live on Cumberland FA’s Facebook page, it means this may go ‘on the road’ to Cumbrian Cottages locations!
In the 2019-20 season the Cumberland Cup will see the return of the ‘Team of the Round’ award, to reward the teams who beat the odds to progress in the oldest and most prestigious Cumberland competition. A £100 Kit and equipment voucher from Kitlocker.com will be provided by Cumbrian Cottages.
The partnership will also see Cumbrian Cottages offer additional support to local Clubs in the form of advertising boards further increasing the support to the local Grassroots game (more information to follow).
Mark Whitehouse (Mark@Cottages.com) commented “We’re delighted to become partners of Cumberland FA for the remainder of this season and next season. We are looking forward to getting to know the grassroots football family whilst putting something back into the local community.”
More details of this exciting new partnership will follow - in the meantime if you’ve got any ideas on how we can make the County Cup experience better (sorry we can’t offer free holidays!) let us know!
