We’re inviting teams to enter the U16 & U18 Girls Divisions of the Andrea Buggy Women’s League for 2022-23.

With the UEFA Women’s European Championships kicking off this week, we’re calling on clubs to enter their teams for next season’s Under-16 and Under-18 divisions. The county-wide league offers opportunities for girls to play 9v9 from September to April each year.

The Under-16 trophies were lifted by Northbank JFC 1970 U16 Girls last season, winning the ‘treble’ after being crowned League Champions, County Cup Winners and League Cup Winners. County Cup runners up Cockermouth JFC won the League Trophy for 2021-22.

A number of Under-18 Girls fixtures were arranged during 2021-22 to support the transition of girls from youth football to adult football, with players moving into the Women’s League which is taking place throughout the summer months.

Closing date for entry for 2022-23 is Friday 22 July.

The AGM will be held w/c 8th August 2022, with full details to be confirmed in due course. The proposed league’s start date is Sunday 11 September.
