The Cumberland FA Walking Football League 2022 programme was completed on Sunday 23 October with a great event at Lakes College.

Five evenly matched teams played some quality football, with lots of close contests on the day.

CUFC in the Community needed 1 point to seal the league and they managed to accumulate 10 points becoming worthy winners for the second season in the row!

The league title was added to the League Trophy earlier in the season completing the double for CUFC in the Community.

Ray Sempill, Football Development Officer for Cumberland FA, said: “Big thanks to the venues that hosted us and to the Galloping Horse for providing some fantastic food after the football. We’re now looking ahead to next season and hoping to welcome new teams to the established teams enjoying their regular football.”

The League Committee will meet over the coming months to decide on the format for the 2023 season, which is due to start in March.
