Cumberland FA Are Looking Forward To Hosting The County Cup Finals For 2022-23 And We Can't Wait To Welcome The Players, Coaches And Supporters To Cleator Moor Celtic FC.

Now the ‘curtain raiser’ to Cumberland FA County Cup Finals, the Under 16 County Cup Finals were brought forward to March a number of years ago to support participating players, as they will be concentrating on their exams during the traditional ‘County Cup Final’ period later in the season.

With both teams playing in the Andrea Buggy Women’s Under 16 League and the teams sitting in 4th and 3rd place respectively, Sunday’s County Cup Final promises to be an exciting game with both sides eager to lift the silverware. Their previous meeting was a 2-2 draw earlier in the season.

Last season’s runners up Crusaders U16s are currently 3rd in the Carlisle Glass Longhorn Youth League U18 League while Carlisle City U15 are also sitting in third place, but in the Carlisle Glass Longhorn Youth League Under 15 League.

It will be the first meeting for these two teams – an exciting County Cup Final awaits! 

Included in our online programme is a welcome from Cumberland FA’s CEO Ben Snowdon as well as each team’s ‘Route to the Final’, coaching team, playing squad and a short history.

Cumberland FA would like to wish all teams the best of luck for what should be a couple of great games!

All the talk will be about the two teams playing to win the County Cup, but the games wouldn’t be going ahead without the ‘third’ team, the Officials.
