The FA’s SSE Wildcats Girls Football programme is well underway in Cumberland, which means there’s no better time to get your daughter involved in girls’ football.
SSE Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres provide girls with regular opportunities to play football and take part in organised sessions in a fun and engaging environment created exclusively for girls.
200 clubs have been established across England throughout the spring and summer, with eight centres set up on Cumberland. Sessions are designed for girls aged 5-11 and are perfect for beginners.
Jess Nelson, Cumberland FA Football Development Officer, said: ‘We are a number of weeks into our Wildcats programme and have seen some great work taking place across the county. There are some fantastic opportunities now for young girls to get involved in the game and these Wildcats Centres are perfect for them.”
“I’d strongly encourage any young girl aged 5-11 who fancies getting involved in football to head down to their local centre and join in the fun.”
