The Refs Room

The Refs Room

Online Support for Cumberland Match Officials

The Ref's Room is supported by The Cumberland and West Cumbria Referee’s Associations.

Any registered referee, over 18 years of age, can attend.

The sessions aim to bring together local referees, who are missing the interaction with colleagues and friends, into an online social club where they can interact, have a drink and listen to the stories and experiences of a number of special guests over the coming weeks.

If you’re a Cumberland registered Match Official and not already a member of the online group then you can request an invite by e-mailing refsupport@Cumberlandfa.com

Ben Snowdon, Cumberland CEO commented: “We recognise that at the moment the mental health and well being of individuals is high on the agenda of everyone as we continue to deal with the current situation of social isolation and an everchanging environment.  For some football can offer some much need relief and interaction.  As a County FA we have therefore set up a number of online groups and forums to allow volunteers from the grassroots game to interact and engage with colleagues.

This referees group is aimed to be very much a social group with quizzes and guest talks in a relaxed and ‘social club’ manner to closely mirror our two Referee Associations meetings.

We therefore encourage our referees to get online, get their drink of choice and get involved.”

Our Upcoming Guests
