FA Long Service Award

As a County FA we are always looking at recognising and valuing the efforts and contribution of our volunteers who are the backbone of the game within Cumberland.

Saying thank you goes a long way to show your support, appreciation and how much you value your volunteers.

And what better way to show your appreciation for those people who make grassroots football happen than nominating them for an FA Long Service Award.

The FA Long Service Award is presented to individuals who have given significant service to the game. The qualifying criteria are: -

a. A minimum of 50 years’ active service.
b.The 50 years should exclude any football played at school under the age of 16.
c. The 50 years need not run consecutively.

Nominations are submitted to the Cumberland FA who will review, respond with any questions, and then forward completed applications to The FA for their consideration.

If successful The FA will issue a 50-Year Award Certificate and pin badge to Cumberland FA (this can take up to 8 weeks), who will then arrange, with the nominator, a time, date and venue for the award to be presented to the recipient.

To nominate a member of your club, league, organisation or referees society who meets this criteria and who you believes thoroughly deserves recognition then complete the online nominations form below, which will require evidence in the form of a “football CV” which details the nominee’s service to football.
