50 for 50 Campaign

We are looking for 50 Teams (or Clubs) to raise or donate £50 during this football season to support the British Heart Foundation…

Whether this is selling pin badges, buying a drink for a loved one in the club bar, a sponsored ‘kick up challenge’, sponsored run or walk, bake sale, or donations at matches – if everyone gives a little we can make a huge difference in Cumberland!

Clubs can sign up to the 50 for 50 Campaign using the link below or individual teams can register their interest via email Media@CumberlandFA.com

the British Heart Foundation’s defibrillator network

The Circuit

The Circuit is the British Heart Foundation’s defibrillator network, providing a nationwide overview of where defibrillators can be found. Many defibrillators never get used because emergency services don’t know where they are or how to access them - this can cost lives, and that’s why this new infrastructure is so vital.

Almost all defibs registered on The Circuit can be seen on a map by accessing Defib Finder using a web browser on a computer, tablet or smartphone. This shows the location, accessibility and status of defibs.

Is your Club or training / match venue defibrillator on the national register?

Find out more about ‘The Circuit’ and register the defibrillator here.

World Restart a Heart Day

On Wednesday 16 October, its World Restart a Heart Day 2023 and Cumberland FA will be challenging the grassroots community to learn CPR digitally in the safety and comfort of their own home.

The dedicated day is aimed at increasing the public awareness of cardiac arrests and increase the number of people trained in life saving CPR. On the weekends before and after Cumberland FA will be running a social media campaign and we’ll be urging the Grassroots Football community to get involved, learn CPR, take part in our photo campaign (more details to follow) and perhaps even donate through our partners the British Heart Foundation for vital research.

More details on the Restart a Heart Day can be found here

You don’t need to wait for this date – you can take the BHF Revivr course NOW as well as The FA’s Sudden Cardiac Arrest module
