Young Leadership Academy Registration

Cumberland FA is pleased to announce details of its brand-new Young Leader Academy Programme for the 2018/19 season.

What is the CFA Young Leader Academy?

The Young Leader Academy (YLA) offers young people aged 14-21 a hub to gain valuable experiences and develop skills that can be applied to all walks of life. The YLA programme allows young people to further their knowledge and gain insight into various roles within football. For many, the programme can offer the start of a great adventure through volunteering in sport.

What is involved in the YLA?

From courses and qualifications to supporting events and local projects, to coaching in clubs and developing the game; the YLA programme offers a selection of strands for young leaders to focus their learning. These strands include:

- Respect
- Refereeing
- Coaching and working with teams
- Promoting the game
- Running and supporting events
- Developing the game

With regular hub nights, meet ups and events, the YLA programme is a great way to meet like-minded Young Leaders from around the county, with opportunities also available to attend a National Young Leader camp at St George’s Park.

What will I get out of the YLA?

- The chance to gain new skills and experiences to put on your C.V
- Employability skills
- Recognition and awards for your volunteering and work
- Opportunity to gain qualifications
- Be part of the future of the CFA volunteer workforce
