FA Youth Award Module 3: Developing the player

UEFA B Preparation Course

Cumberland FA is pleased to announce that it will be running a new preparation course to support grassroots football coaches interested in the UEFA B Licence.

The UEFA B License Preparation Course has been specifically designed to support coaches who currently hold their FA Level 2 qualification and are looking to progress onto the FA Level 3 coaching course (UEFA B License).

This programme of content will be delivered to allow coaches to gain an insight into what the UEFA B License is about, without fully committing to a course which will run over the 2019/20 season.

The Cumberland FA preparation course will consist of a combination of online webinars with some visits to games, as well as a couple of classroom/practical-based sessions.

As much of the course is online, it can be done from the comfort of the coach’s own home; however, there may be some requirements to travel to the Cumberland FA office for classroom-based support.

James Reid, Football Development Officer for Cumberland FA, said: “We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for grassroots football coaches to gain an understanding of what the UEFA B licence entails, without having to fully commit to a full course. It will also give learners the opportunity to sample some content of the current UEFA B licence. We hope that this opportunity will bridge the gap for learners who currently hold The FA Level 2 qualification to get them ready to apply for a place on the UEFA B licence next season.”

There are 16 spaces available, each priced at £15.
