In just over two weeks, Cumberland FA have already had a number of local companies show an interest in the exciting Work-Social League that will begin in 2020.
This is the first time Cumberland FA have offered playing opportunities to businesses, offering local companies the opportunity to increase team spirit, look after the social and physical well-being of staff and have some fun along the way!
The Flexible Football format will provide monthly fixtures and depending on interest the league structure will run in West Cumbria and East Cumbria.
Richard James from Direct Rail Services Ltd told us why they were keen on the new Work-Social League “DRS is a great place to work and this is another example of how we want to make it even better. It will be good for team work, morale and of course wellbeing which we strongly want to promote”.
The Work-Social League will involve:
• Male / Female Football
• 60-90 minute matches
• 7, 9 or 11-a-side
The aim is to play 11 v 11 games, however, to increase the entries from smaller businesses there is also an option for smaller sided games (and following the closing of expression of interest on 31 January the formats will be confirmed)
Here are just some of the companies who have so far expressed an interest in the BRAND NEW Work Social Business League
