Cumberland Ability Counts League

Entries Open for The Cumberland Ability Counts League

We’re delighted to confirm a new venue for the Cumberland Ability Counts League and remind Disability organisations that team entries are still open!

NEW VENUE: Richard Rose Central Academy 3G Astroturf Facility, Victoria Place, Carlisle CA1 1LY

The new venue provides the following benefits:

 FA Approved 3G grass-like surface and Marked Out, Small-Sided Pitches
 Fully enclosed, Safe Playing Environment
 Links with the Carlisle Youth Zone
 More active link with Carlisle United FC
 Many people with disabilities already access the site: Potential for more New Teams in 2019
 Potential for growth and links with Junior Disability Football creating a Full Disability Player Pathway

Ray Sempill from Cumberland FA commented on the new venue “I appreciate that this move may mean that some teams now need to travel to the venue, or travel slightly further. Cumberland FA are offering support to groups with organising transport and applying for funds to support this. We have good links with Cumbria Community Transport and a number of organisations who offer funding for disability teams to help with this.”

An information session will take place following this new development for The Cumberland Ability Counts League. This is for existing and potential new teams and players; Carlisle Youth Zone have kindly offered to host the evening.

Information Session Location: Carlisle Youth Zone, Victoria Place, Carlisle, CA1 1BG
Date: Tuesday 12th March
Timings: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
Refreshments: Tea and Coffee Provided
