For The Cup
Tuesday evening sees the start of the Cumberland Cup, with 2015/16 and 2016/17 Champions Workington AFC at home to Moor Row FC. The following evening sees Windscale AFC host Braithwaite FC.
On Saturday 12 October there will be a further 12 ties with the final 1st Round tie scheduled for Wednesday 16 October with last season’s runners up Penrith AFC hosting Eden United FC in a ‘local derby’. Defending Champions, Carlisle United FC begin their defence of the trophy, away to Cockermouth FC on Saturday.
Cumberland FA are delighted to confirm the return of the Cumberland Cup ‘Team of the Round’ Award, thank to our sponsors Cumbrian Cottages.
The Award along with a £100 Kit Voucher will be presented to the team who has who has beaten the odds in the competition. More details will be communicated through our social media as the competition begins..

The Sunday Cup also begins this Sunday with 15 ties in the First Round of the Cumbrian Cottages sponsored competition.
Defending Champions Inter Pirelli FC begin their defence with an away tie against Wheatsheaf FC; while last season’s runners up Bransty Rangers FC are due to be at home to Highfield Regulators FC.
The Sunday Cup competition begins in a regionalised format to reduce the amount of traveling in the early rounds.

MORE CUPS
The Under 16 and Under 12 2nd Round ties are also scheduled in for this weekend as well as the rearranged games in the Under 14 County Cup that were postponed over the weekend.
The 1st Round of the revamped Under 12 Girls competition takes place on Sunday 13 October with Match Day 1 of the Girls Under 14 competition taking place on Sunday afternoon at Harraby 3G.
The Under 16 Girls County Cup draw has been made this afternoon and will kick off next month.
Information on the Under 18 and the Women’s County Cup competitions will be circulated to teams shortly with them due to begin in the new year.
