Cumberland FA are inviting applications for the role of Referee Development Officer

County FA Referee Development Officer (RDO) – (Part Time)

Salary Range £14,500 to £16,000 (Dependent upon experience)
Fixed term contract until 30th June 2021 (post continuation subject to FA funding)
 
Cumberland Football Association (CFA), in partnership with The Football Association, is inviting applications for an exciting and stimulating role within football as part of a passionate and dynamic sports organisation looking to increase participation, regulate the game and promote safe, inclusive football within Cumberland.

The RDO will lead upon the delivery of The National FA’s Referee Strategy and Operating Standards within the County, with an aim of planning and implementing effective recruitment and retention strategies, providing more development opportunities and enhancing the support, training and guidance offered to the referee workforce.

Reporting directly into the Chief Executive, the successful candidate will need to be passionate about and committed to the development of referees. You should have experience of refereeing and/or referee development along with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence at all levels. You should have a proven track record of working with and developing a volunteer workforce.

You will work as part of a team focused on developing the grassroots game.  You will be expected to be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.  It is important that you have excellent interpersonal skills and that you can positively influence at all levels. 

This exciting post is part time position of 3 days per week.  The position will be based at Cumberland FA’s Offices in Cockermouth.  Whilst the role is office based you will be required to have a flexible approach to hours worked, as these might possibly include some weekend and unsociable hours.

You should be in possession of a valid and current driving licence.

Salary is based on FA recommendations and will be discussed at interview

The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
