Every referee starts out at the bottom of the ladder, and we’re delighted to confirm the following match officials have satisfied the relevant criteria to make the next step in their Referee journey.

Level 7 to 6:

Seamus Edwards 
Ben Whitfield 
Ben Kinnersley
Matthew Rogerson 
Lewis McNamee 

Level 6 to 5:

Callum Black 

Scott Taylor, Cumberland FA Referee Development Officer commented “These promotions are recognition of the individual hard work and commitment given by each match official this season to the grassroots game in Cumberland.”

With five Referees beginning the season as Under 18s and all officials under the age of 26, this highlights the continuing development of the young referee workforce and the support through the Cumberland FA County CORE programme which was recently re-launched as a Cumberland FA and FA jointly funded project.
