CFA STATEMENT
Cumberland FA are aware of the decision that have been made by some local leagues to postpone the restart of their season until January 2021.
As autonomous committee’s these decision have been made independently by the management committees of these leagues and in line with their delegated powers.
As an organisation we understand that the volunteers serving on the committees have made a difficult decision and whilst the outcome may not be popular with some clubs, teams and or parents; we do ask that this is respected and any feedback or enquiries should be directed to these leagues through the appropriate channels.
In line with latest government and FA guidance, training and friendly matches are still permitted for clubs/teams from these leagues, so long as clubs, parents and/or teams are happy to do so.
Please note that any friendly games should be notified (by the home team) to ourselves via the online form in order to ensure you meet the designated ‘organised sport’ definition for the exemption from the rule of 6 restrictions.
