Cumberland FA Wildcats

Clubs Join the Wildcats Movement

Charter Standard Clubs confirmed as FA Wildcats Centres

Cumberland County FA is delighted to announce that 3 brand new Wildcats Girls’ Football Centres will be starting in the county in April 2020.

These new centres will join our 5 current centres from 2019, meaning there will be a total of 8 centres spread across Cumberland.

The Wildcats Centres are designed to give girls aged 5-11 their first experience of playing football in a fun and safe environment. All centres have FA qualified coaches with exit routes into grassroots football and Wildcats training.

Paul Carrigan, Cumberland FA Football Development Officer, said:The Wildcats programme is a fantastic chance to offer every single girl aged 5-11 the chance to try the sport and hopefully fall in love with it. The fact we have 3 FA Charter Standard Clubs getting on board for 2020 shows the passion for growing the female game.

In addition to the three new centres, Cumberland FA are delighted to have retained five existing centres delivered by Workington Reds in the Community in the West of the County.
