NOMINATION PERIOD EXTENDED UNTIL 31 AUGUST 2020 

As Cumberland FA Clubs are continuing their #PlanningToPlay preparations as we move towards season 2020-21, we are very aware of the effect of Covid-19 on individuals and teams since the shutdown in March.

Cumberland FA have just announced the local winners of The FA and McDonalds Grassroots Football Awards, but now we are looking for more nominations….for a #CFALockdownHero

With so many heart-warming stories during the lockdown period of Cumberland Club members supporting their local communities, we want to show a token of our thanks from the grassroots football community.

We are looking for the individual who went above and beyond….the person who went the extra mile to support those who needed it in a time of national anxiety.

Nominate the Club, Coach, Volunteer, Committee Member or Player in a Cumberland FA affiliated Club who deserves a thanks, a pat on the back and to know their kindness and support was appreciated.

Their goodwill gesture doesn’t need to be across the football community, but within their own community. Shopping for an ‘shielding’ neighbour, support to Key Workers -there have been so many fantastic local stories, so we want to acknowledge our football community heroes!
