Cumberland FA are delighted to welcome The FA's Lead for the Foundation Phase, Pete Sturgess to the Cumberland Virtual Coffee Club this week!

Now in Week 11, the weekly sessions have brought more than 60 coaches from across the county together to chat about football throughout this unprecedented time.

With no football, the weekly ‘Chat and Brew’ sessions have been well received with coaches able to get their football fix while staying safe at home.

Previous sessions have included subjects such as Academy football, the Psychological / Social Corner and Technical / Tactical Corner in Grassroots Football, coaching a Grassroots team, Futsal and a couple of weeks ago we welcomed Workington AFC Manager Danny Grainger.

To support the coaching of young players, in line with the England DNA, we've developed a page on our website to guide and inform all of the adults who work with Foundation Phase players.

We're delighted that Pete will be sharing his thoughts and insight into how he see's football at a young age.

This is an excellent chance for Coaches across Cumberland to connect and hear from Pete who is at the forefront of the grassroots game in England and ask questions.
