CUMBERLAND FA SUPPORTS THE BOBBY MOORE FUND & CANCER RESEARCH UK’S FOOTBALL SHIRT FRIDAY!
This Friday is the Bobby Moore Fund & Cancer Research UK’s Football Shirt Friday. The campaign is now in its eighth year and the donations received are vital in raising funds to help in the battle against bowel cancer.
Former World Cup winning captain, Bobby Moore sadly passed away at the age of 51 and since his death, the Bobby Moore Fund has raised £27 million and mortality rates for bowel cancer have fallen by more than 30%.
Bowel cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK and the second biggest cancer killer. Over 42,000 people are diagnosed with bowel cancer every year in the UK. Around 268,000 people living in the UK today have been diagnosed with bowel cancer.
This year, Cumberland FA has joined the Football Shirt Friday squad to help tackle bowel cancer.
We want you to wear your shirt, donate and share. We want to see all your shirts this Friday.
