Every Life Matters Offers Cumberland Football Members FREE Training in Suicide Awareness

Last year Cumberland FA teamed up with Every Life Matters, Cumbria to help raise the profile of the organisation across the Cumberland Football Family.

Every Life Matters strives to take a fresh, innovative and long term approach to suicide prevention and suicide bereavement support in Cumbria. At the heart of their approach to suicide prevention is the belief that all members of the local community can have a part to play in suicide prevention.

Every Life Matter's training aims to reduce the stigma attached to suicide, increase understanding of when someone is at risk of suicide, raise awareness of how to practically support someone, and the range of services and resources available for people in our communities experiencing suicidal thoughts.

World Suicide Prevention Day 2021

This year's theme is 'Create Hope Through Action'

Order an activity and resource pack for your Club or Organisation and help start the conversations on WSPD 2021.

Training with Every Life Matters

In 2021, the Cumberland County League and the Cumberland FA Women's League played in memory of Andrea Buggy and to raise awareness of Every Life Matters across the Football Family.

The teams involved helped to raise awareness of Every Life Matters, Cumbria amongst players and volunteers as well as having the open conversations which could ultimately support someone in need. Read more about how your team can support this, including sharing the CFA Team Talk series amongst your contacts.
