Blind Football opportunities return in the New Year with Carlisle Reivers and Cumberland FA confirming the monthly sessions for anyone interested in getting involved.

Each session will take place in one of the ‘pens’ at Harraby 3G, Carlisle from 1 – 3pm on the following dates:

- Sunday 27th February

 - Sunday 27th March

- Sunday 24th April

 - Sunday 22nd May

 - Sunday 26th June

Cumberland FA’s Football Development Officer Ray Sempill commented: “After a successful taster session in September and after receiving funding for the project, we are delighted to confirm more dates for the Carlisle Reivers Blind Football sessions. We are looking forward to getting started in the new year.”

Thanks to the funding secured, the above sessions will be FREE to participants.

Paul Allen from Carlisle Reivers said: “I’m chuffed to bits that we are able to provide opportunities for those who previously weren’t provided for. 
Looking forward, I’m excited by what football in Cumberland will have to offer in the coming years for people with various disabilities and it’s great to think that we, as a county we can be leaders in the field of disability football.

Blind football is stage 3 in Carlisle Reivers Inclusive Football’s aim and vision. And we hope that this element is just as successful as our youth inclusive and our adult inclusive PAN DISABILITY teams.”
