Georgia Vyse

Mid-Season Promotion For Cumberland FA Referee

CFA referee receives mid-season promotion from Cumberland FA

The Cumberland FA are pleased to announce that Carlisle-based referee Georgia Vyse has been promoted from Level 7 to Level 6 as part of our mid-season promotion process.

Georgia has only been refereeing since July 2021 and quickly become a Level 6 County Referee within 18 months.

Additionally, Georgia is a keen and active member of the County CORE Group that helps develop local potential and as a result has been part of the National CORE Group for Season 22/23.

Scott Taylor, Cumberland FA RDO, commented: "Georgia’s promotion reflects her hard work and commitment at grassroots level since starting her refereeing journey in July 2021. It also reflects the on-field refereeing performances that she has shown over the past few months in Open Age football.

"I am so happy for her as I know she put a lot of effort into gaining this mid-season promotion, she is also hoping to gain promotion on the Women’s Pathway from 4w to 3w this season.

"I’m hopeful she can now push on in the second half of this season and aim for further promotions, which is not an easy thing to do and quite rare in local football."
