Following the recent Veterans Trophy Final, the 2022-23 County Cup season officially concluded. 

The Cumberland FA are therefore delighted to announce details for the 2023-24 season, which will again see teams from across the County compete across 11 competitions at various ages and formats of the game.

The County has also updated and amended rules across the competitions, which can be found at HERE 

Most of the changes are purely cosmetic, correcting spelling, punctuation, or language. We have also re-structured the format of some rules to try and make them easier to understand or updated some in line with the latest FA rules. 

However, there have been some changes around entry requirements and on the field regulations. These are mainly in line with the online functionality of managing and administrating competitions through FA systems and to bring some competitions at the same age in line with each other in terms of playing time. 

Clubs and Match officials are therefore asked to familiarise themselves with these documents ahead of the start of the various County Cups. 

This is just the start of a planned review of all County Cup Competitions, with Cumberland FA looking to work with leagues and clubs this season, to try and gain meaningful and constructive feedback regarding future provision to ensure that these competitions continue to be front and centre of the football calendar within the County.
