Run For Jack

Luke Boyle and Cam Prokas will be attempting the ‘David Goggins challenge’ in memory of Luke’s younger cousin, Jack Taylor

On Saturday 11 February, Luke Boyle and Cam Prokas will be attempting the ‘David Goggins challenge’ in memory of Luke’s younger cousin Jack Taylor, who tragically lost his life in May 2021 and would have been turning 21 this year.

Jack was a young player at Penrith Football Club. His cousin, Luke Boyle (Kirkoswald FC Manager), along with his lifelong friend Cameron Prokas (Penrith AFC and Wetheriggs United), are planning to run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours to raise vital funds for the Great North Air Ambulance.

The challenge will begin at 6.00pm on Saturday 11 February, finishing at Frenchfield Park on Monday 13 February at 6.00pm.

Billy Williams, Chairman of Penrith AFC commented on the challenge: “We urge everyone if possible to support these two young men who wish to commemorate Jack's life and raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance, a cause we all know depends on us all and saving many lives in the process.

"We would like to see as many supporters of this cause as possible here at Frenchfield Park on Monday the 13th at 6.00 pm to welcome and celebrate Luke and Cameron's fantastic effort and support the cause of the Great North Air Ambulance.”
