U18 Cup Final

Under 18 Cup Final Preview

The Youth Weekender kicks off this evening with the highly anticipated Under 18 County Cup Final!

Following a busy couple of weeks of Senior Finals with Workington AFC’s emphatic 9-1 win in the Fred Conway Cumberland Cup Final and the Women’s County Cup Final going to penalties with Carlisle United Ladies winning 3-2 (2-2 AET), we saw history made in the Sunday Cup Final with Inter Pirelli’s 3-0 victory over Scotby making it their 4th consecutive Sunday Cup Win!

We’re looking forward to welcoming the two finalists, match officials, volunteers and guests in what should be a great advert for the local grassroots under 18 football game this evening.

Both finalists are unbeaten in their respective Leagues, with Workington Juniors U18 and Crown Newlaithes U17 boasting a 100% win record as they clinched the West Cumbria Youth League and Carlisle Glass Longhorn Youth League titles respectively.

Both teams were defeated in their respective League Cup semi-finals which means the Under 18 County Cup Final gives one team the opportunity to seal the ‘double’!
