Sportsguard will be the preferred insurance provider of Cumberland FA for the 2023/24 season.

Cumberland FA is delighted to announce that Sportsguard have been chosen as its preferred insurance provider for the 2023/24 season.

Richard Culley from Sportsguard said: “On behalf of the whole of our team, we are delighted to welcome football clubs in Cumberland to our schemes.

"We were formed over 30 years ago with the vision of supporting grassroots football, we are delighted to support football clubs in Cumberland for season 2023/24 onwards.

"We understand that the cost-of-living crisis is hitting local football and we do not want to be part of the problem, we have worked in partnership with Cumberland FA to create a bespoke scheme for clubs that offers an excellent level of cover at reasonable prices.

"We want to help grassroots football in Cumberland thrive."

Ben Snowdon, CEO at Cumberland FA, added: "Following extensive deliberation, The Board of Directors have come to the conclusion that for next season (23-24) the County FA's preferred insurance provider will be Sportsguard for both Public Liability and Personal Accident insurance for our members.

"This decision was reached following a detailed review of all policies provided by the main insurance firms and conversations with several clubs at varying levels and sizes.

"The main reason for this decision boiled down to clubs reporting that anything that we could do to save money at this time would be essential to their survival.

"The Board therefore believe that these schemes offer the best value for money at this time and look forward to working once again with Sportsguard from the 1st July 2023."
