Silent Support Weekend - 2nd and 3rd March 2024
Silent Support Weekend is this weekend (2nd and 3rd March 2024) and once again The Cumberland FA's Andrea Buggy U16 Girls League, Carlisle Glass Longhorn Youth Football League, Penrith & District Junior Football League and West Cumbria Youth League have all signed up to supporting the initiative throughout their league fixtures this weekend.
The idea behind Silent Support Weekend is to cut down and think about unnecessary noise and distraction from the sidelines and thus create a more positive space for players, coaches and spectators.
During the weekend, supporters are asked to only encourage players through applause only.
Players and Match Officials can keep talking on the pitch and Coaches can support the players as they need to.
