THE TEAMS FOR SUNDAY

The top two teams in the West Cumberland Sunday League, Premier Division go head-to-head in the first West v West Final for 17 years!

Both teams have already lifted silverware this season, with newly formed Parkside FC, winning the Kenny Hailes Memorial Trophy in March beating Thornhill FC.

Northside FC, fresh from their 9th League title (8 Workington & District Sunday League, Premier Division and this year the inaugural West Cumberland Sunday League, Premier Division), also added the President’s Cup (against FC Cosmos) in February.

Making their second appearance in the Sunday Cup Final, Northside FC will be looking to go one better than in 2019-20 when they took record breakers Inter Pirelli to penalties after it finished 1-1 after extra time.

Both teams are also still in contention for the League Cup, with fixtures continuing next week.

Read more in the programme that can be downloaded HERE.

For the first time in five years, Inter Pirelli FC will not be contesting the Cumberland FA Sunday Cup Final.

Last season’s win meant they became the first Cumberland Team to win 4 in a row overtaking the feat of Mirehouse AFC (2004 – 2005 – 2006).

The Carlisle based team won in 2018-19 (v Bransty Rangers), 2019-20 (v Northside), 2021-22 (v AFC Scotby) and 2022-23 (v AFC Scotby)

Following Sunday, there will be a further 5 County Cup Finals. Find out all the details HERE
