REFEREE REGISTRATION – 2023/24
Referee Registration must be completed prior to Referees officiating from 1 July 2023.
The registration process for Season 2023/24 OPENS to all referees in Cumberland on Thursday 1st June 2023.
The £20 fee for Referee Registration will continue for the new season. Referees aged 65+ will not be charged.

PRE-REQUISITES FOR REGISTRATION
ALL Referees MUST Have In-Date Safeguarding Education Prior To Registering For Season 2023/24.
Referees who are 14/15 years old must complete the FREE 1 hour Safeguarding For All course (valid for two years)
Referees who are 16+, but completed their previous FA Safeguarding qualification as a 14/15 year old can EITHER complete the free 1 hour Safeguarding For All (valid for two years) OR complete the new Online Safeguarding Children Course (£30) (valid for two years with continual FREE re-certification)
All other Referees 16+ can do one of the following:
Complete the FREE 1 hour Safeguarding For All course (valid for two years)
Complete the free online re-certification (valid for three years) IF you have previously completed The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop
Complete the new Online Safeguarding Children Course (£30) which is valid for two years (with continual free re-certification)
As part of an ongoing commitment to making the game safe for all, Cumberland FA encourages all referees to complete the new online Safeguarding Children Course.
This in turn will support you as match officials to recognise best practice and poor practice, understand how to report concerns quickly and effectively. We believe that making football fun, enjoyable and safe is everyone’s responsibility.
All Referees Aged 16+ Must Have An In Date FA DBS Check To Officiate Under 18 Games In Youth Football
