Cumberland FA Membership for Season 2022-23

The registration process for Season 2022/23 OPENED to all referees in Cumberland on Monday 6th June 2022.

As of Friday 29 July 2022, over 80 of our referees hadn't re-registered for the 2022/23 season.

Scott Taylor, Referee Development Officer, said: “We are seriously going to be short of grassroots match officials for the start of the new season if this number doesn’t increase rapidly, and soon as appointments are already being considered for August and September. I strongly urge existing referees who haven’t done so yet to re-register ASAP, this applies to all Trainee Referees as well.”

All of the information you need can be found below:

During the 2021/22 season the County FA has provided significant bursaries to all Referees around registration and insurance. This has amounted to approximately £3,000 being absorbed by the County FA to assist Officials with the return to Football following a tough two years for everyone due to the global pandemic and alleviating some of the financial requirements.

Going forward into the 2022/23 and beyond, The County FA will see further funding cuts and as a result, a £20 fee for Referee Registration will return.

Referees aged 65+ will not be charged the fee.

Referee Registration must be completed prior to Referees officiating from 1 July 2022.

Referees can register electronically for NEXT season by following the link below from Monday 6th June
