England Football Accreditation

England Football Accreditation

Take the lead. Get Accredited

The FA introduced England Football Accreditation to replace the former Charter Standard Scheme.

Existing England Football Accredited Clubs are required to renew before Sunday 10 March 2024 in order to keep their Accredited status and show that they remain committed to creating environments where players, coaches and volunteers can thrive.

However, please note that clubs can continue to APPLY for England Football Accreditation until 31 March.

Cumberland FA is committed to assisting local Clubs to complete the process ahead of the national deadline and use Accreditation to assist Clubs both on and off the field. All Club Secretaries with Youth teams should have received an email detailing the support with the Adult Team Support package communicated via the League network.

Youth Team Support Package

Cumberland FA Support is available to all Youth Club renewals with a range of bursary options for 1, 2 and 3 Star Club Status which can be used to assist in meeting the necessary criteria for Accreditation.

The funding will only be provided for eligible courses completed during the 2023/24 season. (Eligible courses: The FA Introduction to Coaching Course, The FA Safeguarding Children Course and The FA Introduction to First Aid in Football).

3 Star Club Status - £300 bursary (equivalent to 6, half price places for the Introduction to Football Course)
2 Star Club Status - £250 bursary
1 Star Club Status - £150 bursary

Cumberland affiliated Clubs who have already completed the Accreditation renewal, may still make a claim for the bursary.

All Youth Club Secretaries should have received an email detailing how the bursary can be claimed. For further queries, Club Secretaries can email Development@CumberlandFA.com

How to RENEW

The new streamlined online process via Club Portal should make this easier than ever. The new accreditation platform is now hosted within the Club Portal with all Club Secretaries having access as you have previously with Whole Game System.

Clubs can take a look at their dashboard on Club Portal which will show everything you need to keep your Accreditation. From coaches' qualifications and DBS checks to uploading and accepting your policies – there is one place to go to renew your club’s Accreditation.

Clubs need to complete their accreditation checklist and submit for renewal via the Club Portal before Sunday 31 March 2024. If you aren’t sure about something relating to the renewal process, there are detailed guidance notes from FA Grassroots Technology Support which show exactly what to do step by step.

Coaches and Volunteers can help Clubs with their Accreditation by ensuring their qualifications are up to date along with The FA DBS check.
