CLUB MEMBERSHIP

Cumberland FA Is Delighted to Provide Information to Clubs Relating to Affiliation for the 2024/25 Season.

THE ONLINE AFFILIATION WINDOW THROUGH THE FA’S CLUB PORTAL WILL OPEN TO ALL CLUBS FROM WEDNESDAY 5TH JUNE 2024

Club Portal will continue to be the point of affiliation for your teams along with purchasing Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance as well as entering the relevant County Cups.

The Club Portal can be accessed via https://clubs.thefa.com/ using your usual FA system email and password.

The County FA Board continues to recognise the cost-of-living challenges faced by clubs and as a result have agreed to keep prices in line with previous seasons and will not be increased.

The Affiliation fees per team for 2024/25 (Which includes Public Liability Insurance) are below:

Mini Soccer (U7 to U10) - £10 per team 
Youth Team  (U11 to U18) - £20 per team
Adult Male & Female - £50 per team
Veterans - £35 per team
Adult Disability - £35 per team
Walking Football - £35 per team

For Clubs who have U6 Coaching Squads, please continue to affiliate these groups, and select a Personal Accident Insurance Policy, however no charge will be added for this.

The County FA has also agreed to continue with Sportsguard to provide our insurance scheme for our Clubs to access.

Personal Accident Insurance Fees for 2024/25 below:

Youth U6 Policy – No fee
Youth Insurance Policy (U7 to U18) - £22 per Team
Adult Male & Female Basic Policy - £86 per Team
Veterans Policy - £52 per Team
Adult Disability Policy - £52 per Team
Walking Football Policy - £30 per Team

Policy upgrades for Adult Teams are also available through the Club Portal should Adult Clubs & Teams wish to upgrade.

County Cup Entry WILL CONTINUE TO BE OFFERED FREE OF CHARGE.

IMPORTANT DATES

Based on the type of football you play will determine how quickly you will need to complete the process:

Please Complete the Process By 5pm on Wednesday 26th June 2024 If You Wish to Take Part In Any Of The Following:

Junior Football - If you intend to play friendlies, festivals, or tournaments from the 1st July 2024
CFA Women’s League Teams
Veterans League Teams
Walking Football Teams
Ability Counts League Teams
All other Adult Football - If you intend to play games from 1st July 2024

All Other Affiliations Must Be Submitted By Wednesday 24th July 2024

AS A REMINDER - IF YOU INTEND TO TAKE PART IN FRIENDLY FIXTURES, FESTIVALS OR TOURNAMENTS FROM 1ST JULY 2024 ONWARDS, YOUR AFFILIATION APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED AND COMPLETED 4 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT TO ASSIST US WITH PROCESSING THE APPLICATION

Please Note - You can complete the affiliation process gradually so do not worry if you do not have time to complete the process in one sitting. You will find that your club information has been carried over from the previous season. Please take time to check that this is all correct and amend any information where necessary.

Club Portal will recognise which County Cup Competition your team is eligible to enter – Please populate if you wish to, however The County FA will follow this up with clubs individually ahead of the new season commencing.

Insurance

PUBLIC LIABILITY & PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE

Clubs will receive Public Liability cover as part of their Affiliation Fees.

Personal Accident Insurance can be purchased through the Affiliation Application form in Club Portal.

Safeguarding for Committee Members Course

It remains mandatory for Committee Members (Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer & Welfare Officer) at each Youth Club to complete a FREE online Safeguarding for Committee Members Course.

The above will need to be in place for the County FA to approve your club's application.

Additionally, Youth Clubs must have a fully qualified Club Welfare Officer (CWO); The qualifications for this role are; 1) In date and accepted FA DBS checks; 2) In date Safeguarding for Children Course Qualification; 3) Completion of the Safeguarding for Committee Members; 4) Completion of the Welfare Officers Course.

NEW for 24/25 – ADULT CLUBS/TEAMS – MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

As part of the FA’s continued commitment to Safeguarding the game, Adult Clubs/Teams will be required to meet the following to affiliate for 24/25:

Each Adult Club Welfare Officer must complete The FA Player Welfare Course 
Each Adult Team Official e.g., Manager, Coach, Assistant must complete The FA’s Player Welfare Course

Furthermore, Adult Team Officials with 16/17-year-old players within their Adult Team squads will be required to complete an FA DBS check.

YOUTH TEAM COACHES – MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR 2024/25

ALL Club Officials Attached To A Team (Manager Or Assistant/Coach Or Assistant) Must Have A Valid, Accepted FA DBS Check In Place and an FA Safeguarding Children Certificate.

This Applies To All Teams Under 18 Or Below.
