Club Welfare Officer Support Session

NEW DATE - Book your place now!

 NEW DATE

Earlier this year we asked Club Welfare officers to feedback on their role and let us know future training needs.

68% of those who responded indicated that they would prefer ‘Face to Face’ training and we’re delighted to confirm the following session for Club Welfare Officers across the County.

mONDAY 17 JUNE 2019 at Cumberland FA starting at 7:00pm (and finishing at 9:00pm)

The Agenda for this event is in line with feedback from CWO’s:

1. Whole Game System [Introduction to managing your Club on WGS from a Welfare perspective]
2. Club Compliance with new FA guidelines [Rationale, process and procedure]
3. Safeguarding Risk Assessments [An introduction]
4. How to deal with Poor Practice cases [Reporting and Investigating – Role of CWO and CFA]

There were further topics highlighted as areas Cumberland Club Welfare Officers would like support on. In order to keep the sessions at a realistic timescale, we believe it wouldn’t be realistic to include additional topics on this occasion; however these will be covered in sessions delivered at a later date.

Club Welfare officers also told us they wanted the CWO meetings to restart so this session is hopefully the first of many support and development sessions for this vital role within Youth Football Clubs.
