So far this season 40 Clubs across the county have pledged to reaffirm their commitment to a positive football environment, taking responsibility for actions within their own clubs to protect the game and ensure that more people become involved and remain within grassroots football.

Youth and Adult Clubs have signed up to 'Join The Wall' with a Positive Football Environment Club Commitment as we aim to protect our positive football environment for all.

Ben Snowdon, Cumberland FA’s CEO, said: “99% of football in Cumberland is played without any report of misconduct but with the number of reports slowly growing we want to bring Clubs with us to address the problematic few who display undesirable or unacceptable behaviours. 

"The Join the Wall initiative sees Clubs making a commitment to play their part in dealing with undesirable behaviour. It is only through such collective action that we can really make a difference and raise standards of behaviour within the county.”

To raise the awareness and profile of the initiative, Cumberland FA encouraged Clubs who signed up to show their support with players forming a ‘wall’ using the #WeJoinedTheWall hashtag on social media.

All photos received by Cumberland FA (view on our Facebook album) were placed into a random draw for the chance to win one of four £50 voucher’s via our kit partners at www.kitlocker.com 

Where entries were received with two Clubs showing their support together, these were entered separately with each photo tagged to differentiate the potential winners. In total 61 photo entries were placed into the random generator earlier this week and we’re delighted to confirm the winning entries below!
